Fall Hat: Burgundy Felt Floppy Hat & Burgundy Leather Pencil Skirt

Today is the first day of autumn 2014!! I ♥ this season for so many reasons…I mean what’s not to love! The breeze, great weather, holidays, layered clothes, and of course my favorite pumpkin-spice latte/cappuccino (#YUM). If it is not clear I have totally fallen for fall ^_^ I selected this outfit to welcome the season; a floppy hat and leather look pencil skirt (similar here) just feels so right. A felt hat in a warm neutral color makes a great addition to any fall outfit. It serves a dual purpose of keeping your head toasty and your hair in check during those windy days. Burgundy is a perfect color during this time of the year and I recently began working more of it into my wardrobe. What is your favorite fall color?

Sporty Spirit: Bomber Jacket + Slip On Sneakers + Leather Cap

It is finally Friday-Yay!!!! The main focus of today’s outfit is cool and comfort. I can be running errands or going to a game in this outfit. Simple V-neck tee and shorts (last seen here) in the same color acts as a blank canvas so my bomber jacket can stand out. I wanted to keep this look out of the locker room so I added red lipstick and nail polish which was a perfect girly touch. Whatever your plans may be this weekend, I hope you have fun, and remember-enjoy it!!

A Trip to Vegas: #MyCosmoStyle: Feather skirt

Today’s outfit post will be a bit different because I will show you outfits I selected for my Las Vegas style challenge. I participated in #MyCosmoStyle blog challenge which I have to pick an outfit that can transition from day to night at Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas, one of the premier hotel properties in the area. I wanted an easy to wear outfit for exploring all that the Cosmopolitan Las Vegas has to offer.

Enter my main piece…feather skirt anyone? I love this skirt because how easily it does double duty transitioning from day to night in a snap-who says a feather skirt isn’t versatile? The skirt is super fun and vibrant which I think it is perfect for a Vegas trip. For a casual luxe day look, I would rock this chambray shirt, with the before mentioned fabulous mini skirt…and with a K.I.S.S. (keep it simple Sally) accessorize with gold layer necklaces, and rings. A classic nude belt, ankle strap heels, with flirty cat-eye shaped sunglasses would ensure I was no wallflower. My makeup would be simple, a winged eye and nude lip (I mean if it’s good enough for Audrey Hepburn!) Whether I am having brunch at Wicked Spoon-or being captivated by the glow of Tracey Emin’s works of art, this outfit would be ideal, just add one part comfort, with two parts classic for a marvelous look.

For evening, I would change into a simple silk top, and gorgeous cutout heels-since the skirt is already stealing the show. Add a box clutch, with plum lipstick for a lovely early fall touch, then just slip into this marvelous blazer for a bit more cover. Now I am ready to have dinner at Scarpetta, a modern Italian restaurant…but after dinner it’s bye, bye blazer, and hello dance floor!
