I've been wearing this plaid shirt a lot lately (since I love it so much). The plaid shirt is a very versatile, but oftentimes overlooked closet must have; you can wear by itself, (like this) throw a sweater over it, (like this ) or tie it around your waist. These are just a few of the options out there, just discover your own creative touch-and in no time you can stretch your closet one outfit at a time. ^_^

Monochromatic Gray: Gray Blazer + Gray Jeans & Tee

Wearing an outfit comprised of one color is actually not that tricky…it is really a no brainer. You can have your outfit in one color, or in all the colors (just play around with the tints, tones, and shades) of a single hue. Today’s outfit is an almost head-to-toe gray ensemble (minus my shoes and bag). I can swap the blazer for a coat-or wear a hoodie underneath the blazer if the weather gets colder.  We are supposed to get a cold front by the end of the week (fingers crossed) just in time for a taste of fall weather. Polished in Culottes: Culottes & Bow Tie Blouse

Culottes are back (trending since last year) and you see them everywhere. I just love them, especially this pair from ASOS (On sale here). The fabric is super soft and flowy. My husband used to call my older pair of these short trousers, my ‘pirate’ pants. (They were more casual and made of stretchy type of black fabric.) Did you know that ‘culottes’ is a word that originated from the French language, and referred to the knee-breeches worn by gentlemen in the nineteenth century? For a simple office look with a touch of that feminine vibe, I paired my culottes with bow-tie blouse and beige ankle strap heels. For a modern executive look try pairing them with a blazer, or jacket and finishing the look with pumps. Have a great rest of the week everyone and let me know what your new favorite trends are!
