Shades of Green: Neon Green top & Teal Midi Skirt

This week has mercifully gone by quite fast (I'm glad), hope you all are having a great week so far! Today's outfit is all about colors (in the same hue and different scheme). I love color however I  am always attracted to darker color and neutral clothes whenever it comes to shopping (old habit). I try to do better, and here I am wearing a neon green color blouse with red lipstick (why not). Do whatever makes you feel good, life is too short!! Hope you have a wonderful weekend ahead ^_^

Prim Lady: Chambray Shirt & Teal Full Midi Skirt

Just a quick "Hi!" This might be my last outfit without layers as the weather is beginning to get cold (we'll see fingers crossed). We have been considering Christmas decorating earlier than normal this year. I am talking even before Thanksgiving since we love it so much; that way we can enjoy the season a bit longer. What do you guys think? I just love the Holidays!

 

 

Pretty Plaid: Plaid Shirt & Midi Skirt

I wore this outfit last Friday. I was fully supporting casual Friday, but did not feel like wearing jeans (by the way, where my husband and I work we can wear jeans every day). Solution- Dressing up my plaid shirt with this midi skirt (Last seen here ‘Ladylike Details’). This shirt speaks casual to me, while this skirt is very comfortable, so they were perfect for my casual Friday. Most importantly this skirt has pockets…I’m obsessed with skirts or dresses with pockets! If you are short like me (5’2”) we have to be careful with the mid calf length, because its cut can shorten our frame and make us look weird. Thus, I completed the outfit with beige ankle-strap heels.  Here is a great tip, if you ever want to instantly elongate your frame wear shoes in your own “nude” skin tone. This will draw attention up not down and make your legs look much longer. This skirt is fitting better this time around as my husband and I, have been trying to eat better and workout everyday (Although some weekends we forget-I mean hey, something is better than nothing, right?). However this weekend we are going to indulge a bit for my birthday week. Last month, we discovered this hole in a wall restaurant called Kin & Comfort  and we’ve been hooked ever since.  If you are ever in Austin Texas and want some killer Asian fusion food, you must and I mean ‘must’ try Kin and Comfort. They combine classic Thai dishes with American comfort food in each dish in a super cool, sophisticated, and delicious way-The result is dynamite! It seems like every time we finish a photo shoot we end up at their door…and 3-4 dishes later it’s a nap time!

 

Ladylike Details: Crop Top & Midi Skirt

My husband and I were busy with spring cleaning and house renovations and barely had time to do anything else. Finally we got it done and I do not plan to do any cleaning for another six months (not really). You might remember this crop top from a previous post (Lilac). This time I styled it with a midi-skirt and nude pumps for a more classic and ladylike look. Also, rocking mix & match earrings, a cool new trend I adore. It is hard to see in the photo-but I wore a pearl earring on the right, and a diamond stud earring on the left. My favorite color is purple (any shade of purple) so I thought it would be nice to wear lipstick in a shade that accentuates my top. Playing around with my lipsticks, I came up with my own concoction of radiant orchid that I’m so in love right at the moment. In order to get this shade, I mixed Urban Decay Revolution Lipstick in Shame (80%) and Stila liquid lipstick in Petal (20%). My secret of saving cost on lipstick is to mix your own shades. Currently, I only own four (dark red, red, pink, orange and nude colors) but I am always wearing just the right color to accent any outfit ^_^

 

Top Secret: Camo Jacket & Bootie

No, I did not forget to rotate the first shot-It was taken upside down (my husband lay upside down on the ground while taking this photo). It rained early, and was a bit cool on the day I wore this outfit. Sometimes I like to wear a skirt when it rains, as I don’t want my pant (hem) soak up the water from the rain and from the ground. This outfit was perfect for that kind of day. Taking off this jacket, it would reveal a rather simple outfit-peplum top & tube skirt. To add a little extra to the outfit, I completed the whole look with this camouflage jacket and bootie, and accessorized with bracelets and an envelop clutch.
