Winter White: Layered sweater over white shirt & White Jean + Trench Coat

Hello everyone!!! Hope you all had a great New Year's Eve, and have a good start on your next 365 day-journey. My husband and I had so much fun just hanging out at home by the fire, and watched all the Holiday movies we love during our long weekend off. (Boy does time fly when you are having fun!) :) Today's post is a simple all-white layered look with a trench coat. Layering is a must during the winter time (believe it or not even if you live in Texas) and I do love layering. If you are scared of looking thicker than you actually are, just play around with it. Not all looks benefit from layering, it takes a bit of practice to get to know what works and what does not on your body so do not give up! Have a great week, and welcome to 2015 ^_^

Varsity Look: Floral bomber jacket & button down shirt

Just a quick "Hi" to everyone and hope you guys are having a great week so far. Happy First day of Spring! I love spring and during this time of the year, and normally the weather is perfect. However it still feels like fall/winter here. Floral is always predominate as it echos the emergence of the season and I'm a big fan. I really like this bomber jacket and especially its color. I kept the outfit simple on this one to give the jacket the spotlight.

Lilac: Pastel Crop Top & Crisp Shirt

Happy Wednesday everyone! One of spring's biggest trends I adore is the crop top. Generally this look is reserved for people who have “That” attitude and an insanely great midriff …unfortunately I have neither. So I opted to layer my lace crop top over a button down shirt. I paired these tops with light wash jeans and sandals and accessorized them with a statement necklace for spring-like temperatures (then…of course it got windy and colder when we were trying to get these shots). Wicked day: Tulle skirt + striped shirt & red pumps

We had a Halloween contest at work today. My husband and I work together, but did not participate in the contest however for Halloween spirit, we dressed up for work. I had full makeup on-much more than I normally would wear. I lined the eyeliner way past the corner of my eyes to make me look wicked and had my hair teased and puffed up. I had just simple black, white and red color theme since my tulle skirt did all the work.  My husband went for a classic old period handsome look. ^^ Before we handed out candy last night, we took picture of all three of us since we haven’t had a picture together for quite a while. We also went to our co-workers haunted house which was awesome (here is their website: gothgloom). All they asked from you was to bring canned food for admission. Check them out next year if you are around the neighborhood to support people who love what they do and do what they love just to give back to the community.

I cannot complain when affordable clothes and accessories translate to a pleasingly graceful, and stylish outfit. I was having the most difficult time finding something (in my closet) to go with this skirt. It was sitting there for like 6 months and then viola! I put this outfit together and it has become one of my all time faves. ^_~
