Wide-leg trousers are one of my favorite pieces as they are
not only comfortable, they also elongate my legs. You can pair them with pretty
much anything, in any season. A monochrome outfit can make you look taller and
leaner so I paired these wide leg trouser pants with the same color textured peplum
top. My vision was to create the illusion of a streamlined one piece outfit to lengthen
my 5’2” silhouette (with a little help from a 4”wedge sandals!). Just to keep
it simple and elegant, I accessorized with layered pearl statement necklaces,
gold hardware bracelets, rings, and added a touch of red color on my lips. While
for my hair, I decided to reminisce about classic style by keeping my hair in a
low ponytail and parting it in the middle. Have a great short week everyone!

Summer Layer: Utility Jacket & Flat Sandals
Hope everyone has been having a great weekend so far. Casual,
no fuss, weekend outfit anyone? I paired my silky top with boyfriend jeans and
flat sandals for a laid-back feel. My utility jacket and tote echo the casual yet
pulled together vibe. This Zara leather shopping bag is SO roomy and light
weight which is perfect for packing all my summer essentials on the go. About
two months ago, I made my first purchase from Madewell (I got dresses: this, this and this) and
recently I just got these sandals from them. The straps are soft and won’t cut
your feet… and even though they are relatively flat they remain surprisingly comfortable.
Thus, I think they will turn out to be my feet’s new buddy this summer ^_^ Enjoy
your weekend!!

Chic'd Up: Chambray Shirt & Full Mini Skirt
A chambray shirt can be dressed up, or dressed down simply
by the piece it is paired with. (I dressed it down in these previous posts
Double dose & Beat the heat). This time I chose to “chic up” my chambray
shirt. I love the fullness of this skirt mixed with the simplicity of the shirt,
just add booties and you have an instantly polished, cool outfit. If you
notice, I did a high bun hair style in this post-the style I have wanted to rock
forEVER but could not succeed as my hair is just so thin/fine. I just got this
‘Magic twist hair styling bun maker’ last week and hallelujah! I finally got my
high bun hairdo. It’s very easy to use and you can buy them online at Amazon:high bun maker . The
item is shipped out of Hong Kong so be patient they are very inexpensive and
work super well so they are worth the wait! There is also a foam one but I have
not tried that yet. Have a great day!
